Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University

Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University is a public University in Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. The University is named as Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University in the memory of Great leader from Garhwal region of Uttarakhand "Shri Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna". Earlier, it was known as Garhwal University and was formed in 1 December 1973. This University is the long cherished dream of local peoples.
HNB Garhwal University is one of the 10 largest University in India. The University has three campus and more than 180 affiliated colleges and institution. The University is established as central university under the provision of the Central Universities Ordinance, 2009.

This University provides education to more than 150000 students annually and serving in the 7 districts of Uttarakhand out of 13. There are around 14 faculties in the University.
The University headquarters are located in Srinagar town in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand.
