Narsingh Devta Temple, Joshimath, Chamoli Garhwal, Uttarakhand

Narsingh Devta temple is located at Joshimath, Chamoli Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. This temple is also known as Narsingh Badri. This temple is part of Sapta Badri. The deity of this temple is Lord Narsingh. He is the fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. This deity is in the form of half man and half lion.


Lord Narsingh is known as the lord of justice. The idol of Lord Badrinath is taken down to Narsingh Devta temple in winters. And the idol is placed along with the idol of Lord Narsingh.


Narsingh devta is well known deity in Uttarakhand. And Lord Narsingh is worshiped in whole Uttarakhand region.
It is also believed that the idol of Lord Narsingh will shrink completely by the end of Kali Yuga. It is also said that after the end of Kali Yuga, Satyuga will come and the Badrinath will transfer his seat to Bhavishya Badri.
